Chiropractic assessment and evaluation

Dr. Tintor will examine your spine to determine the possible cause of your condition. Each patient receives a complete orthopedic and neurological exam.  Often times, you experience pain because the bones, muscles and nerves are not working together.

Radiographic examination

If Dr. Tintor determines that an x-ray is necessary to further diagnose your condition, he will order the x-ray.  Dr. Tintor will review the x-ray with you.

Chiropractic adjustment

Dr. Tintor makes a gentle contact and applies a specific thrust into areas of restriction, mostly along the spine. Techniques include Diversified, Gonsted, Thompson, Cox, Nimmo, and Activator.  When indicated, non-force adjustments are used.  Adjustments help with joint pain and also have an effect on tight muscles.

Orthotics

Certain spinal or foot problems can benefit from custom shoe inserts - orthotics.  Dr. Tintor is trained to take an impression of your foot and place a custom order.

Rehabilitation/Exercise Instruction

Spinal exercises and strengthening maintain your adjustments.  Dr. Tintor will discuss the exercise and strengthening program best suited for you.

Ergonomic Evaluation

There are also a number of ergonomic risk factors, at home and at work, that contribute to musculoskeletal disorders such as repetitive tasks, jobs requiring forceful or prolonged exertions of the hands, jobs requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying of heavy objects, poor body mechanics, awkward posture.

Dr. Tintor will evaluate your situation and design a set of exercises that can both remove some of the strain from the affected body parts and build up strength.

Dr. Tintor is trained to offer second opinions on whether you are an appropriate candidate for chiropractic care.  He will also refer you to a specialist, if your case requires additional diagnostic input and treatment.
